Rebekah Barsotti has impacted many who have experienced domestic violence and she continues to do so. Yesterday, Christmas Eve, I received notice that a young woman who filed a PFMA against her partner was safe and sound and out of the area. No longer within reach of her abuser. Although I rejoiced that a life has been saved and is not within harms way......I have to admit this brought such sorrow and anguish that Rebekah did not make it. Despite an active PFMA charge against David Barsotti , when Rebekah went missing; he was never even considered a suspect in her Missing Person Case and Death. I can only hope and pray that because of our loss and Rebekah's loss of life that PFMA charges are taken seriously and the SAFETY of the victim takes priority instead of preservation of the abuser's rights. A PFMA charge is only a misdemeanor in the State of Montana (if a conviction occurs). It really should be considered an Act of Intimidation and Domestic Terrorism which is a Felony in the State of Montana. Thank you to those that aided this young lady in her time of need and suggested she remove herself from the area completely. That is the only way to ensure safety. May this young woman remain strong with her conviction to save herself.

Lauren, you and Angela have saved my mothers life. She has been in an abusive marriage for 3 years. He used to punch her. I finally got her away Friday.

I have her in He has guns. I have explained to her that this is the most vulnerable time for her. My brother in law with backup will retrieve the rest of her things. She will not be returning to but going from to a new life.

I have learned so much from the Rebekah story from you. That is the only way I would've known how to help. - Author Unknown and that is just fine.
